Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Foncier
Benoît Catel joined Compagnie Bancaire in 1987, where he took on various financial and accounting roles before moving to GMF Banque in 1992 as head of accounting. He joined Groupe Caisse d’Epargne in 1994, working at the Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France Ouest as head of accounting, subsequently becoming head of loan production and finally a member of the Management Board in charge of financing and risk. Starting in 2001, he took on the same position at the Caisse d’Epargne Côte d’Azur before becoming the member of the Management Board responsible for business development. In 2006, he became the head of the local authorities, social housing and social economy division at the Caisse Nationale des Caisses d’Epargne. In 2009 he became Chief Executive Officer of Banque de la Réunion (a subsidiary of BPCE IOM) before becoming CEO of Volksbank Romania (Groupe BPCE) from 2012 to April 2015.
Benoît Catel is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Lille and of Sciences Po in Paris. He has a DESCF (Master’s level diploma in accounting and finance).
