Crédit Foncier is the leading specialist in property financing and services in France. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Groupe BPCE, the second-largest banking group in France, Crédit Foncier serves all those who seek, for one reason or another, the expertise and unique insight that will help them find solutions to their real estate needs: individuals of course, but also professionals, investors and local authorities. Crédit Foncier provides, to all these players, its innovation and creativity as well as its market experience that dates back more than 165 years. Crédit Foncier is centred on five major businesses.

Property finance for individuals

Crédit Foncier is active in financing individuals’ homeownership dreams, for both new and existing homes. Crédit Foncier is also active in the buy-to-let sector and in financing older customers through specialised products and services such as reverse mortgages. Its expertise is disseminated through a multi-channel network of 218 branches in France, 7,000 business partners in the real estate sector and an Internet platform. Crédit Foncier has enabled more three million households to become homeowners in the past twenty years.

Financing investors and real estate professionals

Crédit Foncier supports property investors and professionals (real estate management companies, builders, investment funds, etc.) to carry out their operations. Crédit Foncier also provides these partners with its expertise in the area of credit arranging and syndication for financing their business.

Financing public entities

Crédit Foncier lends to local authorities and entities in charge of social housing. Its teams define and support the funding of major infrastructure projects through complex deals such as Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).

Real Estate services

Crédit Foncier Immobilier, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Crédit Foncier, is in charge of real estate services: on the one hand, consultancy, research and valuation and, on the other, brokerage and property management. It targets institutional investors, residential and commercial property groups as well as major landlords. Crédit Foncier Immobilier also produces studies and outlooks on the real estate markets, which are eagerly awaited by professionals in the property sector, public entities and, more broadly, by the media who make extensive use of them.

Financial transactions

The purpose of this fifth business is to refinance loans granted by Crédit Foncier. This is mainly ensured by Compagnie de Financement Foncier, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Crédit Foncier, which refinances residential mortgages and loans to the public sector by issuing obligations foncières or through securitisation.
